Recently, 8Bit released Standard Theme 3.  I became a Standard user this past September after researching and looking into what I wanted in a WordPress Theme.  Standard met everything I had wanted, and then some.

With Standard 3, it has just cemented why I went and purchased the theme in the first place.  After using ST3 on my blog for a few weeks now, I thought I would take some time to give my take on why I believe it is the best theme out there.

increase-influence

Since reading Michael Hyatt‘s book, “Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World“, I have been thinking a lot about how to increase not just my own influence with this blog, but the influence of some other sites I am involved with.  As I said in an earlier post, I am part of a social media and promotion team for YC Newfoundland and Labrador.  I also maintain my local church website.

So coming up with ways to increase the influence of these sites as well as my own has sort of been my mission for the last little while.

I’m still learning, but I have seen positive results.

Recently, I came across an infographic that peaked my interest.  I first saw it on Church Tech Today.  I thought I would take some time to share my thoughts on it.

I believe if you have a ministry website it’s apply these ideas and principles to that.  We need to be looking for ways to increase our online influence and here are some ways to do it.

In the latest update (Version 1.4.1), Jetpack for WordPress has added  a new comments feature.  It states that it allows social media login options. That sounds interesting!
